Black Folkart One of A Kind Americana Doll
This gal is approx. 26" tall. She is made out of pinkish stained muslin. She has blotches where you can see some light pink and black. She is very primitive stained with watered down black paint.
She has a hand stitched pinched nose. Her mouth is a piece of jute that has been hand stitched on and then painted black. Her prim cheeks are stained and her eyes are hand painted on.
Her prim hair is raw wool that has been hand stitched on and her prim crown is painted and stained. It has the lettters "USA" hand stitched on it in blue. The crown is hand stitched to her head.
Her prim dress top is made out of stained polka dot material. And hand gathered at the neck with blue thread. In the center is a red, white and blue button. She has cream rick rack sewn to the bottom and dress crease.
Her prim dress skirt is made out of stained americana material also with trim at the bottom.
Held to her hands with safty pins is a prim blue pillow that is stained and rubbed with cinnamon. It has the word "Freedom" hand stitch on to a piece of muslin that is hand stitched on to the pillow.
This gal will come signed and dated.
