Black Folkart One of A Kind Americana Doll

This gal is approx. 26" tall. She is made out of pinkish stained muslin. She has blotches where you can see some light pink and black. She is very primitive stained with watered down black paint.

She has a hand stitched pinched nose. Her mouth is a piece of jute that has been hand stitched on and then painted black. Her prim cheeks are stained and her eyes are hand painted on.

Her prim hair is raw wool that has been hand stitched on and her prim crown is painted and stained. It has the lettters "USA" hand stitched on it in blue. The crown is hand stitched to her head.

Her prim dress top is made out of stained polka dot material. And hand gathered at the neck with blue thread. In the center is a red, white and blue button. She has cream rick rack sewn to the bottom and dress crease.

Her prim dress skirt is made out of stained americana material also with trim at the bottom.

Held to her hands with safty pins is a prim blue pillow that is stained and rubbed with cinnamon. It has the word "Freedom" hand stitch on to a piece of muslin that is hand stitched on to the pillow.

Primitive Folk Art Black Doll

Ethel is 19 inches tall and sits 11inches high. She is made of muslin. Her head, arms, legs and the upper half of her body are stuffed with polyester fiberfill. The lower half of her body is stuffed with fabric trimmings (from my cutting table) to give the body weight and help her sit nicely. Her nose and mouth are needle sculpted. She was painted black, sanded and stained. The hair is beautiful raw wool from locally raised Wisconsin sheep.
There are muslin pantaloons. Her dress is stripe in shades of gray.

Primitive Chunky Little Quilt Runner

This quilt measures 21" long and 17" wide. Made with primitive looking civil war fabrics it is sure to look beautiful in your home. Nice size for a table or cabinet top. This is from a pattern by Kathleen Tracy, love her little designs! This has been machine pieced and quilted with the finishing of the binding done by hand. Don't you love the two color binding? It adds a touch of fun to the quilt.

This doll was made using my newest pattern design. This doll measures about 16" long. She's been made entirely by me and has been stained and aged. In her arms is a very prim painted flag pillow. Primitive Standing Amish Lady With Chicken

Soft sculpted standing Amish lady with a chicken measures 18 1/2" tall. The doll is made of muslin. She has painted boots with laces, stitched fingers and of course NO FACE. She wears muslin pantaloons under a dress of dark green. She also wears a black apron and bonnet. The dress and apron are hemmed. The doll has wooden dowels inside her body that are glued into holes drilled in the 4" by 4 1/2" base (the bottom is covered with felt so it doesn't scratch surfaces). There is a 3" x 5" handmade chicken attached to the base. The chicken also has support inside it's body. The piece measures 6" from front to back and 7" from side to side.

Primitive Black Angel With Crow

This terrific 27" tall crow angel is so very primitive. She's made of textured fabric and has a stitched on nose. She's painted, sanded and stained and all that texture shows. She has a stitched mouth and button eyes. There are muslin pantaloons under her cotton dress of faded sage green, extremely faded pinky red (like an old sun-bleached barn), beige, and white. The clothing is stained with my coffee/vanilla mixture. Her Halo is rusty wire and stars all twisted together. she has no hair. There is a hanging loop on her back. She's got an 18 1/2" long crow "wing" and she's carrying a 10" crow in her arms. There is NO CHARGE FOR SHIPPING IN 48 US.

Small Raggedy Anne in Blue

Talk about CUTE! An original design by Lucy, this 13" tall raggedy is made of muslin. She sits 8" high.She has hand embroidered nose, mouth and eyes. Her hair is embroidery floss strands, individually sewn into her head, and each one is knotted so they won't pull out. Her leg stripes are hand painted.

She wears little panties made from vintage muslin flour sack (one of the soft ones like my Grandma used for a dish towel). Her dress is medium blue, navy blue, black, red, and mustard homespun plaid. The little apron is a hand crocheted doily. It's stitched into the waistline of the dress and accented with 2 7/8" dark blue buttons handstitched to the front.

The doll and her clothing have been stained with my coffee/vanilla mixture. She's signed "designed and made with love, Lucy Rox" and dated.

Primitive Folk Art Angel

This is Charlette. She is made from muslin that has been stained, painted, sanded and rubbed with cinnamon to give her an old worn look. She is 16 inches tall, has a handstitched face, with yarn hair. She wears a white/gold colored dress with a handstitched heart and gold bloomers. Her necklace is made of rusted bells and there is a rusted heart pinned to the front of her dress. She was made with a pattern by Threadbare Primitives.

Clothesline Quilt

Isn't this so sweet? Wouldn't it look great in your laundry or mud room? It reminds me of simpler times. This is a Renee Plains pattern, made with civil war reproduction fabrics from one of my favorite quilt shops, Pieceful Gathering in Fox River Grove IL. It measures about 22" wide and 17" tall...it has rings on the back for easy hanging. It has been machine pieced and quilted, the finishing of the binding has been done by hand.

Trio of Prim Crows

These crows are made from muslin, and have been grunged, painted, baked, and sanded to prim perfection! They measure just about 6 inches long, maybe a tad longer, and have hanging strings attached. Their eyes are little black glass seed beads stitched on securely.
